Summer time is here and Stockholmers have many great chances to sit outside and enjoy the rays of the sun while they last. In fact, it is almost compulsory to do so, as it would be a total shame to stay indoors during the few month of nice weather we get in Sweden. So we felt like rounding up some of the most appealing, better located and hip terraces around the city to better enjoy the revered summery days.

The restaurant’s atmosphere is also very special – warm and welcoming with a homely and personal character.
The restaurant Torpedverkstan is housed in a building from the 1890s where formerly Stockholm’s Torpedo workshop used to be, which was then part of “Stockholm’s warbase & shipyard”, located on Skeppsholmen until the end of the 1960s.

Here you will find not one, but several restaurants and bars that offer outdoor spaces fully bathed by the warm sun rays. Every terrace has a different menu, you can find everything from burgers, seafood, light snacks and of course all the fresh beverages you can possibly fancy. What we like about the different terraces on this square is that there’s plenty of room due to the variety. But we also love the location, as this is really the heart of Södermalm.
