The Mexican Day of the Dead comes back to Etnografiska Museet for its annual celebration.
The Mexican Society in Sweden together with Etnografiska bring us these traditions, that combine the remembrance of the departed with music, performances and colour.
They have set up an altar with offerings dedicated to Juan Gabriel, one of Latin America’s biggest selling singers/composers, who passed away earlier this year.
At the event one gets to learn about the meaning of Día de Muertos (Day of the Dead) with a presentation and original films, created by members of the Mexican Society in Sweden. Plus one gets to be delighted with the music of the mariachi Fiesta Mexicana and dance performance by grown ups and kids from the dance group Viva México.
See it again today, Sunday th 6th November at Etnografiska Museet or wait until next year!
