Sommarkrysset is a long-running summer entertainment format of Swedish TV4, going on its 13th season. It is broadcast live from the Gröna Lund amusement park on summer Saturdays, giving the music fans the chance to enjoy performances by Swedish and international artists either on location or through their TV screens. The programme also includes a gameshow portion with crossword puzzles – easy enough for basically anybody to solve and win a bit of holiday cash.
The best thing about the show is that each season the record companies are more than happy to bring over an international pop star or two for a bit of promotion, and over the past years we have seen the likes of Dua Lipa and Little Mix on this stage. The most interesting international act on this year’s schedule was Rita Ora, so we simply had to make it to Grönan this Saturday to enjoy the music and snap some photos.
