The most magnificent SHOCKHOLM returns for the 9th time on the 2nd of November. The biggest Halloween event in Scandinavia keeps growing for every year, attraching 7,000 participants last year. So make sure to join in on the scary fun. You can join the parade in your best Halloween costume or just come out and see the amazing creations people show up in.
This year Shockholm is once again gathering in Kungsträdgården with stage program and other activities from 3pm on Saturday November 2nd. The Halloween parade will then take a route past the Royal Castle, through Gamla Stan and back to Kungsträdgården. Shockholm is promising a surprise twist to engage all the participants of the parade, something that has never been done before…
We were given some insight into what else will be happening at this year’s Shockholm at the kick-off party in the dungeons of the Bryggeri Munkbron, where guests were being served some Shockholm Bites by the food trucks that will be participating at the main event, as well as the green Shockholm Monster Mash Ale, which you can try at Bryggeri Munkbron up until the Shockholm weekend.
Shockholm always encourages creativity, so the best costumes in will once again be receiving great prizes in several categories. There will also be creative facepainting by six individual artists in what is called Tattoo You!, and a special section for candy, desserts and hot drinks in Candyland.
The stage program also includes musical performances from Miss Sister and Royal Prospect, as well as some amazing Bollywood dancing.
Performing artist Ronyah is the guest creative curator this year and has put together a theatrical narrative called Shadow of the Light. Throughout the story we will get to hear Halloween-themed music played by Fantom of the Shockra, and the music will be synced with graphics on a large LED screen.
