Panoramica Film Festival' first premiere this autumn in collaboration with Bio Rio cinema is the latest film by Alfonso Cuarón and his "return" to Mexican cinema with the film ROMA.
Rome is the most personal film of Accademy Award winner director Alfonso Cuarón. This time he returns to his native Mexico with his first Spanish-language film since "Y tu mamá también".
In the film we meet Cleo (Yalitza Aparicio), a young woman who works as a domestic employee with a family of the middle class of the Rome quarter in Mexico City. Cuarón recovers the inspiration of his own childhood in this loving tribute to the women who raised him, and creates a living and emotional portrait of family problems and social classes in light of the political changes of the seventies.
Rome won the Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival this year.
