17 -19 August is the time for Södermalm's biggest folk party:
-Nytorgsfesten-
A three day festival filled with spectacles and noise in the heart of Söder.
There will be carnival trains, live music, DJs, market streets, fun fair, food trucks, flea market, art shows, midnight race and more.
Nytorgfesten is a festival for the whole family and with free entrance in all areas and all days. Activity and game schedule is announced on a regular basis.
In mid-August, in connection with the midnight race, the Södermalm Music Association organizes Nytorgsfesten 2018.
The Nytorg festival was organized for the first time 1995 - 1997 at Nytorget with over 25,000 visitors , it then moved to Riddarholmen 2001 - 2004 and then Skeppsholmen 2011.
And now it's back at Nytorget and this year the festival has expanded its area to Parkteatern in Vitabergsparken and Blecktornsparken. Everywhere you will be delighted to music, food experiences, flea market, art, yoga, fun fair and more.
New for this year is also the collaboration with the immeasurably popular photography exhibition, Planket STHLM
