As 2023 is coming to an end, it is time to wrap things up and compile year-end lists of the best of the best. We have once again put together a playlist of the music that is the closest to our hearts, Swedish POP!
The year has brought so much amazing Swedish music our way and we would of course like to share our favorites with you all. So we have put together more than three hours of the very finest Swedish pop songs of the year, which means 65 poptastic Swedish tunes for your listening pleasure.
As you may be aware my now, some of the very best pop music in the world comes out of Sweden, so there really was so much to choose from. We did follow one rule to make the choice a bit easier though, limiting ourselves to just one song per artist. You may notice that most of the playlist is made up of rather catchy pop, because that’s what we love. But you will also find some r’n’b and soul, as well as a few gems with a slower tempo or a darker feel.
Our list is topped by none other than Alba August with her anthemic I Wish I Was Someone Else. Be sure to check out the coolest music video below, in which she rocks out with her mother Pernilla August and sister Asta Kamma August (all three are among our favorite actors as well).
