The band is a real-life Swedish pop institution, so it was definitely a thrill finally getting to see The Cardigans live after all these years, being a fan since hearing Carnival in the mid-90s. (I’ve seen the one and only Nina P perform several times though, and hold her in special regard).
The Cardigans pulled a large crowd to Rosendal, and they seemed to enjoy being on that stage for the most part. Nina made it rather clear though, that she might have wanted to skip singing the same old Lovefool for the thousandth time.
Erase/Rewind in the early part of the show really got the audience in the mood, and You’re The Storm turned into an emotion-filled singalong. Ending the show with the high-energy My Favorite Game meant the band went out with a proper bang.
Here are some of our favorite photos from The Cardigans’ show at Rosendal Garden Party.
