This New Music Friday sees the release of Miriam Bryant’s new single Rocket, which she has been teasing for a while with the hashtag #whatisrocket
The song has a summery feel with a backbeat, and a brighter outlook than most of Miriam’s other songs. But it’s still a breakup song, in which she sings “I’m rocketing away, because I need space”…
Rocket is going to be part of Miriam’s upcoming EP, along with her other recent releases Everything and Black Car. Miriam is playing at Cirkus in Stockholm on the 2nd of May, which is practically sold out (save for a handful of single seats here and there).
If you would like to have a listen to some other fresh Swedish music releases from April, check out our playlist – including Zara Larsson covering Sexual by Neiked (who is actually Miriam Bryant’s brother-in-arms Victor Rådström), Elin Ruth singing in Swedish for the first time, as well as Frida Öhrn doing a remake of the legendary Release Me she released 10 years ago with Oh Laura.
