Legendary Swedish singer Carola played to a large audience at Gröna Lund and showed once more why she has been a superstar of the Swedish music scene for decades.
Carola of course had her breakthrough at the tender age of 16 back in 1983 winning Melodifestivalen, which means she has now entertained the Swedes for 40+ years. She is also a bonafide Eurovision legend, having represented Sweden three times and taking that win in 1991.
Carola has established herself as a powerful vocalist and a dynamic performer, taking on many different genres including pop, rock, schlager, gospel and musicals. In fact her last year’s anniversary tour included four completely different shows based on these different genres.
Her strong emotive voice and engaging stage presence were evident also at her Gröna Lund show, where she enjoyed close contact with the crowd, even doing some crowdsurfing to the delight of the audience.
She treated the audience to a cavalcade of her biggest hit songs, including all her Melodifestivalen winners as well as the likes of Tommy tycker om mig, Mickey and Säg mig var du står.
