A fond tradition: Lisa Miskovsky on the small stage of Gröna Lund

Lisa Miskovsky at Gröna Lund

Lisa Miskovsky played the small stage at Gröna Lund again, and I can count it as my fourth time seeing her on that venue, so it has become a fond tradition over the years. Lisa herself called it one of her favorite places to play, and it’s easy to believe her.

Lisa Miskovsky has been a stable on the Swedish music scene since the release of her debut album in 2001. She started the show with an old favorite, A Brand New Day, and went on with one fan favorite after the other from the different stages of her career. Some of the other highlights included Driving One of Your Cars, Sweet Misery, Why Start a Fire, and of course Lady Stardust.

There was a good reason behind the audience-pleasing setlist: she had asked her fans to vote on which songs she should include in the set. For good measure she finished the set by performing the most requested cover song, Nothing Compares to U.

Here are some of the evening’s photographic highlights captured by our very own Nina Uddin.
