On its 30th anniversary, the Stockholm Film Festival proudly presented the Nordic premiere of Noah Baumbach’s Marriage Story (2019) at the gala opening on Tuesday, November 5 at the Skandia cinema in Stockholm. In addition, the 1 km film winner Julia Thelin had a world premiere with Lilla Olle (2019).
Your Living City was present on the red carpet of the opening gala and got to chat with the film festival director Git Scheynius about the biggest achievements of the festival during its firsts 30 years of existence and how it will continue growing in the future, as well as who has been the most interesting personality who has visited the festival during all these years. The Swedish Minister for Culture and Democracy Amanda Lind gave a speech to welcome visitors and congratulate the festival for achieving this milestone and she also cut the traditional film strip to inaugurate the festival accompanied by Git Scheynius and Julia Thelin.
