The National Museum’s collections consist of paintings, sculptures, drawings and graphics from approximately 1500 to 1900. The collections of arts and crafts and designs range from the late Middle Ages to the present day. The museum manages the State’s portrait collection at Gripsholm castle, the Gustavsberg collection, a number of castle collections and the art at the Swedish Institute in Paris.
