Stockholm singer Amanda Mair has finally released her EP To the Moon, after working on the songs for the past two years. She played a release gig at Hobo Hotel on 17th November, and we went there to catch the vibe and bring you a few pictures.
Amanda Mair had her first breakthrough as an artist already in her teens in 2011, and her 2012 debut album got international acclaim from the likes of Washington Post, Guardian and important music blogs. For more on Amanda’s background in music, about her writing process and musical influences, check out our earlier piece on her.
Now Amanda is back with a new record company and a booking agency backing her. The five-song EP was premiered on Billboard and the songs are already getting some airplay. The songs are finely crafted pop tunes filled with a lot of emotion. Amanda herself calls the EP a journey through personal struggle and love. Have a listen for yourself:
