The first ever Shockholm Halloween Ball Bash was a blast

As the Shockholm Halloween parade had been relocated to Sergels Torg this year, Shockholm’s first ever cooperation with Kulturhuset resulted in a smash of an after-party at Studion.

The Shockholm Halloween Ball Bash brought a lot of fun that Mr. Shockholm himself, Bill Schacht described as “Cirque Du Soleil meets Burning Man in a dark vaudeville burlesque Gamla Stan speakeasy of sorts”.

The evening included new acts from our favorite Shockholm characters such as Sire Shockington, Klowny, Valkyrie, Captain Silly Songs and Bridie of Brutal Ballet. There were also new characters including Snow Almost White and Dark Angel (both performed impeccably by burlesque showgirl extraordinaire Fräulein Frauke), as well as the debut of DefCom. And the music kept pumping throughout the evening courtesy of ace DJ RD1.

Here are our favorite pictures of the evening.

Sire Shockington greeted the partygoers welcome.

Captain Silly Songs performed the uncensored version of the song he had the kids singing along to at Sergels Torg earlier in the evening.

Klowny would rather swallow a balloon than a sword, because that’s what he has to work with.

DefCom made a debut appearance at Shockholm, and we are sure we can see more of the character in coming years.

Bridie of Brutal Ballet had come all the way from Irelang to give two wonderful dance performances for the after-party audience.

Stockholm’s burlesque queen Fräulein Frauke had already made an appearance on Sergels Torg as Snow Almost White, but things got a bit more risqué at the after-party, as she also brought along the character of Dark Angel.
