TV4 is showing a two-hour live gala in support of the Swedish music scene that has suffered in many ways during the pandemic. Don’t Stop the Music is airing on the 30th of January at 8pm and can of course be seen online via TV Play afterwards.
The gala is arranged at Hamburger Börs by Svenska Musikfonden, which is collecting money to support all the people working in the music scene, including sound technicians, scenographers and musicians. The evening is especially dedicated to the people who are not in the limelight, but make live music possible with their work.
The evening is hosted by Sarah Dawn Finer and Martin Stenmarck, and will include some of the biggest stars in Sweden. The line-up includes Zara Larsson, Miriam Bryant, Loreen, First Aid Kit, Janice, Molly Sandén, Mariette, Benjamin Ingrosso and more.
– It is an honor to be hosting. For me it is very natural to try and do what I can for the whole ecosystem, all the professional groups and different parts of the event industry, so that we could all get through the pandemic. Music heals. Music is needed. This evening is a tribute to the whole Swedish music scene, says Sarah Dawn Finer.
Tune in and support the people who bring the magic of live music to us all.
