Swan Lake, transformed by Street Dance
In Fredrik “Benke” Rydman’s modern day version of this classic fairytale, the enchanting swans are junkie sex workers and the sorcerer is a pimp. Tchaikovsky’s magnificent original score meets newly composed music by Salem Al Fakir, Moneybrother, Adiam Dymott and Lune, among others. The struggle between good and evil still plays a central role, but the craving for drugs gives new perspectives of this 19th century love story. Can love break the spell, just like in the original saga?
